Man shot, critically wounded in Woodlawn

A man was shot and critically wounded Monday morning in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

The 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head about 8:20 a.m. in the 6400 block of South Martin Luther King Drive, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.

He was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Estrada said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
