Man shot while driving on West Side

A man was shot while driving in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Sunday night on the West Side.

The 29-year-old man was driving in the 4600 block of West Division Street at 10:55 p.m. when someone in another vehicle fired shots at him, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man was shot in the abdomen and drove himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he is listed in serious condition, Alfaro said.

Alfaro said he is being transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
