Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot Saturday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 20-year-old man was outside about 11 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Hoyne Avenue when a dark-colored sedan pulled up and someone inside the car fired shots, striking him in the lower left leg, according to police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

Police said the shooting appeared to be gang-related and the man was not cooperating with detectives.

No one is in Custody as Area South detectives investigate.
