A teen boy was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the New City neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy, 16, was standing on a corner in the 1700 block of West 51st Street about 10:40 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, police said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the foot, police said.

Police said the boy has gang affiliations.
