A man was shot multiple times Sunday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 19-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 4800 block of West Washington Boulevard when a group walked up and at least one person fired shots at 8:50 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with gunshot wounds to the arm, leg and abdomen, Alfaro said.
