Man stabbed during argument in North Lawndale

A man was stabbed early Wednesday during an argument in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 30-year-old man was in the 3900 block of West Roosevelt about 3:20 a.m. when a man he did not know walked up and began a conversation, police said.

The conversation escalated into an argument, and the stranger stabbed the man in the back of the neck before leaving, police said.

The victim was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
