Man shot in Humboldt Park

A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 23-year-old man was standing in the 1100 block of North Lawndale Avenue about 12:30 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain to his left arm, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

The man ran away after the shooting and took himself to Norwegian American Hospital, where he is in good condition, Sweeney said.
