Windows shot out of CTA bus in Humboldt Park

At least one window of a CTA bus was shattered by a BB or pellet gun Tuesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 1:20 p.m., at least one window of an eastbound No. 72 North Avenue bus at West North and North Albany avenues shattered, CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said.

It appears the windows were shattered by either a BB or a pellet gun, Hosinski said. No one was hurt.

Authorities are reviewing footage from cameras on the bus, Hosinski said. Area North detectives are investigating along with the CTA.
