A man was injured in a West Side Austin neighborhood shooting early Saturday.

The 33-year-old was standing outside in the 700 of North Lavergne Avenue just before 3 a.m., when he was shot in the back and neck, police said.

He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in guarded condition, police said.
