A woman and her 8-year-old daughter who went missing Thursday from the South Side New City neighborhood have been found safely, police said.

Maria Trejo, 47, and her daughter Angie Beltran had last been seen in the 4600 block of South Ashland, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

They were both located “in good condition” and returned home, police announced Saturday afternoon.
