Plano man killed in crash in Kendall County

(NEWARK) A man was killed when his pickup veered into oncoming traffic early Tuesday morning in an unincorporated area of Kendall County.

Raymond Boudreau, Jr., 56, was driving a Chevrolet pickup southbound on Fox River Drive near Crimmins Round near Newark about 6:15 a.m. The truck crossed into the northbound lanes and was struck head-on by a Chevrolet Avalanche, according to a statement from the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Boudreau, of Plano, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The driver of the Avalanche, a 48-year-old woman, was taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich with non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection reopened about 11:15 a.m., according to the statement. The crash remains under investigation.

The area is about 20 miles southwest of Aurora.
