SHARE South Side girl missing for more than a month found safe

A 16-year-old girl who was missing for more than a month from the South Side Washington Park neighborhood has been found safe.

Maia Hunwick-Bailey was last seen Sept. 25 in the 6000 block of South King Drive, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Police said Thursday morning that Maia had been found safe, but did not provide additional details.

Benjamin Ortega, 15, was fatally shot in the 2400 block of South Trumbull Avenue in Little Village, police said.
