Police are searching for a 12-year-old boy reported missing from the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Akeem Amos left his home in the 5200 block of West Congress at 6 a.m. Wednesday and did not return, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

He is described as a 5-foot, 120-pound black boy with black hair, brown eyes and dark complexion, police said.
