Only minor injuries were reported when a minivan and a car collided Thursday afternoon in north suburban Evanston, leaving the minivan on its roof.
The crash occurred about 3:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of Oakton Avecnue, according to Evanston police. The minivan was westbound on Oakton and turned left across eastbound traffic, striking a Cadillac.
The minivan rolled over but the occupants suffered only minor injuries, according to police. The driver, a 23-year-old Chicago man; and a 23-year-old Evanston woman were taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston with back, leg and neck pain, police said, though the injuries were called “minor.”
The driver of the Cadillac was not injured.
The driver of the minivan was cited for failure to yield causing a crash, police said.
