A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle last month in southwest suburban Oak Lawn has died.

Ronald Slattery, 74, was hit by a vehicle while walking about 8:55 p.m. May 8 near the intersection of 95th and Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Slattery, of the 5200 block of West Alexander Place in Oak Lawn, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he died Thursday morning, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy Friday found he died of complications of multiple injuries from the crash, and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. Heart disease was listed as a secondary factor.

Oak Lawn police could not immediately be reached Friday for further details.
