DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2015

In the morning, the President, the First Lady and White House staff will gather on the South Lawn of the White House to observe a moment of silence to mark the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The moment of silence is pooled press.

Later in the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Afterward, the President will meet with Secretary of State Kerry in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Fort Meade in Maryland, where he will hold a town hall with service members on the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The President looks forward to having a conversation with the patriotic men and women who work every day to keep America safe and to honor the sacrifices of our troops and their families. The President’s departure from and arrival to the South Lawn are open press, and the town hall with service members at the Defense Media Activity will be pooled press.
