Elderly man killed in Joliet crash

A 86-year-old man died Friday afternoon after a crash in southwest suburban Joliet.

Gregorio S. Tilos was behind the wheel of a vehicle making a lefthand turn in front of an oncoming vehicle late Thursday at North Larkin and Glenwood avenues, according to Joliet police and the Will County coroner’s office. The exact time of the crash was not available.

Tilos, a Joliet resident, was taken to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:09 a.m. Friday, authorities said.

No charges or citations had been issued as of Sunday afternoon as police investigate.
