Cedar Lake man killed in crash

A Cedar Lake man died Saturday night from injuries suffered in a northwest Indiana crash.

Daniel Chapman, 59, was pronounced dead at 7:49 p.m. at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Cedar Lake, Ind., according to a statement from the Lake County coroner’s office.

Chapman, who lived in the 11600 block of West 126th Avenue, suffered blunt force trauma in a motor vehicle accident in the 12500 block of Wicker Avenue in Cedar Lake, the coroner’s office said.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
