Two people were injured early Monday when a car plowed into a garden apartment in west suburban Maywood.

About midnight, the car drove into the kitchen of a garden unit in the 600 block of South 11th Street, according to the Maywood Fire Department.

The driver and passenger were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with non-life-threatening injuries, a fire official said. The homeowner was in the living room and  was not injured.
