Man critically injured in crash at Austin CTA bus turnaround

The man was driving west about 1:50 a.m. when he lost control of his Pontiac G6 and crashed into a structure at a CTA bus turnaround in the 5900 block of West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago police said.

Three people were killed in separate crashes across the Chicago area during a winter storm early Saturday.

A man is in critical condition Wednesday after crashing at a CTA bus turnaround in Austin on the West Side.

The man was driving west about 1:50 a.m. when he lost control of his Pontiac G6 and crashed into a structure at a CTA bus turnaround in the 5900 block of West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago police said.

From there, the man drove into a light pole before coming to a stop, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

The Chicago Police Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash.
