A Schaumburg man died after crashing into a tree Wednesday night in Lincoln Park on the North Side.

The 63-year-old was driving alone when he crashed about 11 p.m. in the first block of West LaSalle Drive, Chicago police said.

Ryszard Kluz was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Autopsy results have not been released.

Area Three detectives and the Major Accidents Unit are investigating.
