Authorities identify woman found dead in Park Ridge snowbank

Authorities on Monday released the name of a 40-year-old homeless woman found dead in a snowbank in suburban Park Ridge.

Officers found the body of Tisha Garrison about 12:30 p.m. Saturday lying in a snowbank in the rear parking lot of 800 West Higgins Road, according to a statement from Park Ridge police.

She was currently experiencing homelessness and was staying at shelters in the Chicago area, according to police

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet ruled on a cause of death.

Park Ridge Police and the Major Case Assistance Team are conducting a death investigation.
