Mechanical problems on a Union Pacific-North Line train have led to the cancellation of one train’s run and significant delays on another Sunday afternoon.

Outbound UP-N Train 807, scheduled to arrive in Waukegan at 11:50 a.m. broke down at the Ravenswood stop, according to Metra’s website. Train 807, scheduled to arrive in the north suburbs at 1:50 p.m., was slated to pick up passengers from the stopped train.

Inbound Train 816, scheduled to depart Waukegan at 12:10 p.m., will not run on Sunday, officials said. The next inbound route, Train 818, is scheduled to depart at 2:10 p.m. and arrive in Chicago at 3:30 p.m.

Riders are urged to check Metra’s website for updates.
