Not that the last quarter century offers a wide pool of competition, but a new poll has found that Bill Clinton is the most admired president of the last 25 years.

42% of respondents to the Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Annenberg Survey chose Clinton. The other three contenders didn’t do nearly as well. 18 percent of respondents said Barack Obama was the president they most admired, 17 percent said George W. Bush and 16 percent said George H. W. Bush.

The poll of 1,238 adults was conducted June 2-8. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.8 percentage points among adults.
