Has the number sequence 3.14159 truly made a difference in your life?

It can — on March 14.

That’s National Pi Day (for math aficionados and all the rest of us), marked not by incomprehensible math calculations (math lovers will recognize that sequence of numbers as the first six digits of “pi,” defined as the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter), but by indulging in that iconic sweet or savory treat: Pie.

What better way to celebrate math?

So here’s a look at some of the area’s purveyors of all things pie, adding up to one delicious celebration in honor of pi. Any way you choose to slice it.
