A man was shot Monday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The shooting happened about 8:15 a.m. at 103rd and State streets, according to Chicago Police.

The 21-year-old was shot in the abdomen and taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
