Man shot in Washington Park

A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.About 1 p.m., the 21-year-old victim was standing in the street in the 6000 block of South Prairie when someone walked up, demanded money and opened fire before running away, according to Chicago Police.The victim was shot in the right thigh, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
