A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Sheldon Jeter, 25, was driving eastbound in the 4400 block of West Ogden about 7:30 p.m. when the vehicle crashed into a building, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jeter, who lived in the 4300 block of West 18th Street, was dead at the scene, authorities said.

The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
