68-year-old man fatally shot during domestic dispute in Douglas

A 68-year-old man was fatally shot Monday morning during a domestic dispute in the South Side Douglas neighborhood.

About 10 a.m., Booker T. Parrow got into an argument with a 74-year-old woman near his home in the 2600 block of South Indiana when he pulled out a gun, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The pair struggled for the weapon and it went off, striking Parrow in the arm with a bullet that went into his chest, authorities said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:25 a.m. An autopsy Tuesday ruled his death a homicide.

Area Central detectives were still questioning the woman Tuesday, police said. No charges had been filed.
