Teen shot in Englewood

A teenage boy was shot Tuesday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy, 17, was in the 6500 block of South Halsted when he was shot in the lower back at 7:36 p.m., police said.

He was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
