Geneva’s Nate Navigato didn’t pick up the pace as much as he picked things up for Pace — as in injured point guard Trent Pace.
With his team struggling early offensively in its season opener at the Crystal Lake Central Thanksgiving Tournament, Navigato, the 6-7 senior swing man who has committed to Buffalo, started driving to the basket and making passes.
It paved the way for his 31-point night in a 63-26 rout of rebuilding Huntley in the game played at Prairie Ridge.
