Dick Cheney blasts interrogation report, says it’s ‘full of crap’

Before the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on CIA interrogation techniques came out, Former Vice President Dick Cheney said it was “all a bunch of hooey.” Now that he’s had time to read it, Cheney is now saying “it’s full of crap.”

During an appearance on Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Cheney the report shows what happens “where a group of politicians get together and throw the professionals under the bus.”

“I think it’s a terrible piece of work, basically,” Cheney said. “It seems to me its deeply flawed they didn’t bother to interview key people involved in the program.”

He also said intelligence officials did “what needed to be done in order to catch those who were guilty on 9/11 and to prevent a further attack.”

“That report is full of crap. Excuse me.”

Cheney also firmly stands by his assertation that the techniques employed, including waterboarding and rectal feedings, don’t amount to torture.

“Torture is something we very carefully avoided,” he said.
