Man shot in West Pullman

A man was shot Tuesday night in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 18-year-old was getting out of his car in the 12200 block of South Emerald at 6:23 p.m. when he was approached by a male wearing a hoodie, police said. The male then fired shots, striking the 18-year-old in his right leg, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition had stabilized.
