Five teens were wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Englewood neighborhood.

Three girls and two boys were outside in the 5700 block of South Green about 9:40 p.m. when a green minivan pulled up and someone inside opened fire, Chicago Police said.

The three girls were taken to Stroger Hospital. One 17-year-old girl was shot in the chest; a second 17-year-old girl suffered a graze wound in her abdomen; and the third girl, 16, was shot in her left foot.

Two 16-year-old boys were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. One was shot in his right leg and right hand, police said. The other also was shot in his right leg.

The conditions of all five teens had stabilized as of late Monday, police said.

Englewood District Deputy Chief Leo Schmitz was among about 15 police department members at the scene investigating the shooting Monday night.
