A man was killed in a shooting in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 4:50 p.m. found 19-year-old Guillermo Ocampo lying unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 900 block of North Central Park, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was shot multiple times in the torso and legs, police said.

Ocampo, who lived on the same block as the shooting, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:33 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

Witnesses reported hearing five to six gunshots in the area, according to a police source.

Police said the 19-year-old had documented gang affiliations.
