The Chicago Catholic League is adding Marmion, Montini, St. Francis and Providence-St. Mel in boys basketball next season. Marmion, Montini and St. Francis have already joined the league for football, along with Aurora Christian.

“We added them in football and want to keep them with us,” said Bishop McNamara athletic director John Rutter. “Aurora Christian went a different way for basketball so we were left with 19 teams, which wasn’t a great number. Providence-St. Mel is a good fit because a couple of our schools play them currently.”

Each of the teams will play a nine game conference schedule, one against each team in their side of the conference.

“Some of the schools may choose to play non-conference games against schools from the other side, but that’s up to them,” said Rutter.

This season’s Chicago Catholic League Tournament will feature all of the current 16 teams, seeded 1 thru 16.

Here’s how the conference will breakdown in 2015-16:
