Boys volleyball playoff pairings set

Glenbard West finished fourth in last year’s state tournament, but West Suburban Silver rivals Lyons and Oak Park-River Forest grabbed top sectional seeds for this year’s boys volleyball playoffs. The pairings were released Friday afternoon.

Lyons owns the top seed at Proviso West and OPRF is No. 1 at St. Rita over the host Mustangs. Defending state champion Wheaton Warrenville South is a No. 11 seed at Proviso West.

The other top sectional seeds are Lincoln-Way East at Andrew, New Trier at Niles West, Payton at Young, Stevenson at Antioch and St. Charles North at Bartlett.
