Since the game is being played at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, there is a definite Downstate flair to the rosters released for the 38th annual Shrine All-Star Game 6:30 p.m. July 14 at Tucci Stadium.

Chicago area players representing the East team: DB Kenneth Carpenter, Joliet Central; DL Josh Rogers, Montini; OL David Roney, Bishop McNamara; WR Sean Jones, Homewood-Flossmoor.

For the West: RB Paul Preston, Maine South; DB Richard Zirngibl, Buffalo Grove; RB Owen Williams, Lake Forest; OL Jake Pauly, Richmond-Burton; WR Collin Nolen, Harvard; WR Kyle Williams, Waukegan.
