In the first start of his varsity career, Maine South quarterback Brian Collis guided the Hawks to their first victory of the season. The sophomore threw for a pair of touchdowns Thursday in a 41-0 victory against Glenbrook North in Northbrook.

Maine South, which opened the season with losses to Montini and Wheaton Warrenville South, plays host to Maine East on Sept. 20. Glenbrook North, which dropped to 1-2, travels to Niles West the same night.
