A man was shot Friday night in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 18-year-old man was shot in the foot and shoulder about 8:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of West 85th Street, near Francis D. Hayes Park, police said.

He was walking on that block when someone exited a vehicle nearby and fired shots in his direction, police said.

He took himself to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park, where his condition stabilized, police said.
