Metea Valley 2, Plainfield Central 0: Jake Celinski’s two goals were all the Mustangs needed against Plainfield Central.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Geneva d. West Aurora 25-21, 25-10: Grace Loberg led the Vikings’ attack with 12 kills, while Megan Cameron spread the wealth with 18 assists.

Oswego East d. Bolingbrook 23-25, 26-24, 25-20: Kelly Bertrand was a machine for the Wolves, racking up 13 kills. Katie Ayers and Alicia spearheaded the offensive flow with 16 assists and 15 assists, respectively. Hailey Aguilar did the dirty work, tallying 20 digs.

The boy was walking on the sidewalk about 7:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of West Thorndale Avenue when he was shot in the leg, police said.
