Nine to Know: Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, and Craig Biggio against Chicago.

Randy Johnson: 618 games: 303-166 (.646), 3.29 ERA, 1.171 WHIP,

.221 BAA

1. In 15 games, Johnson was 13-0 (1.000) against the Cubs with a 1.91 ERA, 0.984 WHIP, and .186 BAA.

2. In 2004 against the Cubs, at the age of 40, the Big Unit went seven scoreless against the

Cubs permitting two hits. In 2008 against the Cubs, at the age of 44, Johnson went seven

scoreless against the Cubs permitting two hits. No other pitcher won at least 10 games in

their career against the Cubs without a loss.

3. In 20 games, Randy was 12-4 (.750) against the White Sox with a 3.08 ERA, 1.129 WHIP,

and .193 BAA.

Pedro Martinez: 476 games: 219-100 (.687), 2.93 ERA, 1.054 WHIP,
