Two burglaries reported Monday in East Garfield Park

Police are warning residents about a pair of burglaries Monday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The burglaries occurred in the 3100 block of West Monroe about noon; and in the 3000 block of West Jackson about 2 p.m., according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

In one of the burglaries, one or more suspects entered an apartment through a back door and took a video game system and jewelry, police said. In the other, they entered through a window and stole jewelry.
