Power restored for 800 Little Italy residents

Power has been restored for about 800 Little Italy residents who lost power Thursday night after a small fire in the Near West Side neighborhood.

A transformer and some service wires caught fire at 7:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Taylor, ComEd spokeswoman Emily Penate said.

Power was restored to all customers at 9:52 p.m., Penate said. Details about the fire were not known Thursday night.
