Man shot in northwest Indiana

A man was shot Monday night in Gary, Indiana.

The man, 35, was shot in the shoulder about 11:30 p.m. in the 1300 block Dekalb Street, according to a statement from Gary police.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
