Jon Stewart rips Aaron Schock, the ‘Doogie Howser’ wannabe

It’s been quite a week for Rep. Aaron Schock, R-Illinois.

Not only is he resigning amid questions about his spending of taxpayer and campaign funds, but his father felt it necessary to do an interview saying Schock will be successful “two years from now he’ll be successful, if he’s not in jail.”

And on Wednesday night, Jon Stewart once again totally trashed Schock, calling him a “Doogie Howser wannabe.”

It’s a funny comparison, even if it’s not totally accurate.

But then Stewart went into full assault mode.

“The constant scandal questions are too much of a distraction? Not the zip-lining through a rainforest or parasailing in Argentina or chilling with Buddhist monks in Myanmar? You served three terms in congress while apparently also competing on the Amazing Race,” while then cutting away to a shot from Schock’s incredible Instagram account, which he has since set to private.

And about those comments from Schock’s father?

“Don’t sell him short,” Stewart said. “Even if he is in jail, I think he will be successful there as well. He can be the baddest ass in the whole clinker, man. Not only will he cut you, he’s going to Instagram that s—!”
