Man shot in Gage Park

A man was shot Friday night in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 9:45 p.m., the 36-year-old man was walking in the 3400 block of West 52nd Street when someone inside a passing vehicle opened fire, striking the man in the chest and elbow, said police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was not immediately available, Gaines said.
