Woodstock’s Jace Pohlman watched in disbelief as Crystal Lake Central’s Frank Berg sent a high fly ball over the 300-foot sign in right field for a grand slam with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.
“At first I thought, you know, if anything it would be a tough play down the line, and then it kept going and going,” Pohlman said. “I saw [right fielder] Zach [Kammin] going back and back, and I’m like, ‘Oh boy.’”
