Woman shot in Chicago Lawn

A woman was shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Sunday.

About 1:20 a.m., the 25-year-old was standing in a yard in the 2400 block of West 62nd Street with several other people when a male in a nearby alley opened fire, police said.

The woman was shot in the back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
