SHARE Police: Man shot to death in Calumet City

A 19-year-old man was shot to death Friday night in south suburban Calumet City, police said.

About 10 p.m., Armaz Gross was fatally shot in the 600 block of Douglas Avenue, according to Calumet City Assistant Police Chief Tom DiFiori.

Gross lived in the 300 block of 153rd Street in Calumet City, DiFiori said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

Police did not release additional details. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is investigating.
